Is this a good recipe for a beginner? I am planning on using a hot process. This is not my first batch, but I am new to this. I've been reading and researching for weeks.

I'm looking for a bar that is fairly hard, nice lather, conditioning, and cleansing. Possibly a good bar for the face.

I plan on putting this in a 10 x 3.5 x 2.75 mold. Is this what's considered a 3-pound mold?

Thoughts and comments? What could I change, add, delete, etc?

Castor (5%) 1.75 oz
Cococute Oil (25%) 8.75 oz
Lard (25%) 8.75 oz
Olive Oil (20%) 7 oz
Beef Tallow (25%) 8.75 oz
Water 10 oz
Lye 4.99 oz
Fragrance 1.05 oz

I would reduce the coconut to 15% and add the difference to the lard. Too much coconut can make a harsh soap, most people keep it between 15%-20%

Your recipe looks good to me. Some people can tolerate a higher percentage of coconut oil, while others need to use a lower percentage. My family likes soap with 25% -30% coconut oil. It depends on how your skin reacts to the higher percentage. I like the bubbles that 30% coconut oil gives to the recipe.
