Dear Soap Friends, I bought a drum of coconut oil in October 2015. The price was right, of course, but I'm wondering how long it will still be good? Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

Store in a cool dry place out of direct sunlight in a sealed container.
Report back when it starts to have an "off" smell. Some of us will still be alive.

 Ok, I'm 67, but plan to live to be 100. Will I still be alive when that CO starts to smell 'off'?

I'm thinking it will be used up before either ever happens.

25 l of CO here, half in the freezer another one in Basement , the temps are low there. CO has a really long shelf life and I had some like 3 years old and still good ;)

Ha ha ha! Very true.

I'm working my way through a 3-year old bucket of CO, and it is still perfectly good. No off-smells at all, and perfect performance in my soap.

It's the same way with my PKO flakes.
