How Long Does Bulk Coconut Oil Last?

Dear Soap Friends, I bought a drum of coconut oil in October 2015. The price was right, of course, but I'm wondering how long it will still be good? Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

:mrgreen: Ok, I'm 67, but plan to live to be 100. Will I still be alive when that CO starts to smell 'off'?

I'm thinking it will be used up before either ever happens.

25 l of CO here, half in the freezer another one in Basement , the temps are low there. CO has a really long shelf life and I had some like 3 years old and still good

Ha ha ha! Very true.

I'm working my way through a 3-year old bucket of CO, and it is still perfectly good. No off-smells at all, and perfect performance in my soap.

It's the same way with my PKO flakes.
