gel phase?

Hi, I just made my third batch of cold process soap. I cut it 24 hours later and in the center of the soap it has a very weird texture, the outside is perfectly fine and the colors are very bright but the middle isn't like that what could this be? does this have anything to do with gel phase? I would appreciate any feedback! I've attached a picture of my soap the small piece is one I cut off the edge

Can you post a picture of the inside of your soap vs the top? It's hard to see with the picture you posted.

Also, can you say what is "weird" about the inside?

I do think that the difference is due to gelling. The temperature is higher on the inside compare to the outside, thus the middle part gel more instead.

Yep. Almost complete gel, the heat didn't quite make it to the outside.
