First Batch!

Results...

So, I took my first batch out of the mold and cut it into 1 inch bars. They're kind of rough, but, it was a first batch after all! Now, all those little bars are now sitting out to cure. I'm not real sure on how I am going to keep my cats of them...or my kids for that matter.

They look great! Most of them look very smooth. What oils did you use? What kind of mold did you use?

Mix & Mold

Thanks for the opinion! The bars are quite smooth except for the side that was on the top. I used 70% Olive Oil, 20% Coconut Oil & 10% Castor Oil. I also discounted the water to 25% of the oils. I got the recipe out of a book I bought for soap making. I used a log mold that my husband made for me, I'll attach a photo of it. I am going to look for some palm oil so I can make another batch this weekend!

Do you use a beveler for those cool corners?

I just ordered myself some hand Cornering tools and
can't wait to try them.
