You can also test your fragrance in a small vial with some of your lye solution and a few drops of fragrance, shake and see what it does. If it clumps up you know it will accelerate and if it turns out a grainy mess you will have a good idea it is going to rice.

Gosh, there is a technique I have never heard of. I must try and remember this.
