I'm not sure which EO's to focus on but I'll pick Peppermint, Lavender and Tea Tree. I have seen peppermint - MENTHA PIPERITA from maybe 10 different countries
Tea Tree - MELALEUCA ALTERNIFOLIA from Australia & China
Lavender - LAVENDULA ANGUSTIFOLIA from many countries.
Being that they are all from the same species I'm wondering how much variance there can be between the different oils based upon their country of origin.
One of the main ones was tea tree which I have heard claims that the chinese origin doesn't have the anti-viral qualities, which seems odd and I'm wondering if that is moer of a sales/marketing strategy/issue than really being based in truth.
I guess I'm really interested in both medicinal and fragrance issues and whether there is a difference between same specie - different origin.
