Those that are using the red ED molds how full are you filling them? How much do they hold. I was afraid if I fill it full the soap bars might be to big but I found a way to package my soaps that I love and the bars look big. TIA

I fill mine between 2.5" and 2.75". There is an easy formula for calculating the amount a mold will hold and how much oil to use. Multiply the length times the width times the depth you want the soap to be. So the ED red mold formula would be 11.25 X 2.5 X 3.6 = 131.6 oz total volume. To figure out how much oil take the total volume times 0.4 to get 52.6 oz of oil. This formula with these measurements will fill this mold to the top edge. If you want it at 2.5" deep your formula is 11.25 X 2.5 X 3.25 = 91.4 *0.4= 36.6 oz of oil for your batch.
You can determine what size you want your bars and always know how much oil to use for any mold you use. If you plan a standard size you could easily make a template for the wrap in the video and be able to cut your wraps to a standard size.

I fill mine to the TOP...lol...it holds 48 oz of oils with 33% water. Here's what mine looks like full to about 1/4 inch from the top. Please don't look at the mess in the picture..lol

Mine are 1" thick. I don't sell any soap, they're mostly for personal use and gifts so I don't need to worry about size for shipping and pricing.
