curing process

Hi
Can anyone give me information on the curing process.

I am a bit confused as one of my books says that after 24-48 hours I should remove the soap from the molds, cover and leave to cure for 4-6 weeks.

My other book says that after removing the soap from the molds I should cover the soap and leave to cure.

Does it matter if the soap is covered or not during the curing process?

You need to cure for 4 - 6 wks minimum and they don't have to be covered, just put them on a rack so the air can circulate.
