I prefer the lather of an HP castile over a CP castile. Hp somehow makes for a creamier lather. I don't think there would be much difference in the hardness over a long cure time between HP or cp though....should be pretty much about the same.
 
That's interesting, do you find that with all soaps or just castille? Thanks for sharing this info.
 
As for hardness I don't think it makes any diff. if you use hp or cp., Although, it gets hard faster with hp.
 
i did my first castile and it got so hard that a day after i made it, i couldn't cut it and a week later i couldn't break the bar in half with my hands. i made one for me to use and one that i have been letting cure to see the difference. i have no idea why it got so hard so easy and so fast? it was pure OO and the only things i added were chlorella powder and a yellow powder i can't remember the name of right now. maybe that did it?
