Citrus Oils

I have read up a lot on essential oils. I am nervous trying out citrus oils because of the phototoxicity. Is the amount used negligible in soaps? Soaps are washed off the body so the oils would be washed with them since they are diluted with the oils, but even I have missed washing off all the soap before. I dont want to have the guilt of causing someone that discoloration on their skin. I see these types of essential oils in all kinds of soaps that are sold though. Someone please ease my mind....

The amount of citrus eo used in soap making is negligible and the citrus scents tend to vanish from the soap very quickly. It is like you said , soap is a wash off product too. If it were a problem there would millions of products we would not be able to buy .
