Carrot Soap

My carrot powder came so tonight I made a carrot complexion soap. I used carrot baby food to replace my water but I didn't add the full amount the recipe called for because I made buttermilk to add when it came time to add my lye mixture. Unscented. I added some light green soap shreds for decoration. Can't wait until morning to see how it turned out :grin:

I love the color, also. Make sure to post a picture after you unmold and slice your soap.

I haven't taken it out of the mold yet, but so far the color has held up! It overheated a little (small crack).

Usually when I do carrot soap I get more of a yellow.. so I am thrilled. I think it has to do with how much I added. When I get the yellow I am only replacing a small amount of the water (I usually use about 4oz.) and last night I used 10oz. PLUS the carrot powder.
