I would like to make a soap that has the buttermilk scent and or goatmilk scent. Unable to find anything that seems correct. New to soapmaking.
Does anyone have suggestions or sites?
Thanks

Are you saying you want a sour milk scent? I make goats milk soap but I don't get any noticeable smell from the milk. I love the smell of buttermilk but don't think I want to bathe with it. Can you be more specific?

Thanks for your response. Actually I use Crabtree & Evelyn Goatmilk soap, and in the past when they were still making it, their Buttermilk soap. I assumed that their scents wer from the milks. This may be a false assumption.
Hope that helps!!

Some FO's are dupes (duplications) of some more well-known scents. I Googled for some such dupes of Crabtree & Evelyn and found these below. You could do a little searching online and perhaps find more.

I don't see the contents list for their triple milled goatmilk soap on the C&E website, so can't say for sure, but I am guessing it's going to say 'fragrance' and not tell you what that fragrance actually is, since it's not required.

And, no, it's not likely that triple milled soap is going to retain any semblance of milk odors left over from any of the milks actually added to the soap. Added fragrance is more likely. I don't know for sure, but I don't think they produce any fragrance-free soaps, but if they do, then it would just smell like soap.

There is a lot of mention of fragrances on their About Us page: https://www.crabtree-evelyn.com/about-us/our-story.html

Thanks earlene,
Very much appreciated. In another thread the ingredients were found on an Australian C&E site. It just says fragrance IIRC.
Cheers
