burnt oil

while chatting on this forum i forgot about my solid oils on the stove melting and they got real hot, i tried cooling it down with a liquid oil, but the oil i was pouring in was evaporating before i could even get an accurate read on the scale. i think i also broke my scale by putting the really hot pot onto it. now i have to bottle the lye i already made and wait until tom. when i can go out and buy a new scale. ugh!!! .... lesson learned focus on one thing at a time!

i don't know, but i still have the box and the receipt, so i am going to try to return it for another

I have learned the hard way too. :cry: No distractions when making soap, if the phone rings, they can leave a message .Doorbell rings , oh well ( unless I am expecting soap supplies :wink: ).
