Beer Soap???

Has anyone ever made a beer soap? Would you just substitute the beer for the water you are mixing with the lye or would you just dilute the beer a little with the lye?

I replaced the water with beer. Make sure the beer is FLAT before you mix it with lye, I promise you it's not pretty if it's not flat. Don't ask how I know this. :shock:

To make sure your beer is totally flat you can cook the alcohol out then put it in the fridge to cool. Works like a charm!

Beer bars by far have been my best lathering soaps! I love to make them with honey, oatmeal and beer of choice :wink:

Oh yeah - I made mine from a Nut Brown Ale and added honey - love it!!!

Thanks for the tips. I had no idea that you would have to make the beer go flat first.
