Bare bones beef tallow/lard soap question

It had been suggested to me that I use a teaspoon of honey or sugar in my water, pre-lye, to help with lather-ability after the batch has cured.
I am doing a hybrid HP method in a crockpot (on low) and when batch hits trace, I transfer to the molds.
I have the honey. How much per 1lb of lard and how much for 1lb of tallow? (1 lb =453.6 g) If I recall, it was 1 teaspoon per lb?

Generally honey is recommended as 1 Tbsp PPO. Dilute in warm water first. You might also look at sorbitol or aloe juice to increase bubbles.

Also, any added "sugars" will cause extra heat. Just something to keep track of. Made a batch of oatmeal and honey on Tuesday. And it did heat up.

If you are heating the soap mixture, I would add the honey right before removing from heat.
