Hello and welcome! Don't be scared....lye needs careful handling definitely, but so does bleach....or hot pans.....or spiders....(um, scratch the spiders - don't know how they got in here :wink: ).

Wear gloves and don't breath the fumes - you will be fine. Soaping is good clean fun!!!
