What ingredient will make my soft bar harder? I usually use olive oil, coconut oil, goatsmilk but looking for a moisturizing but hard bar of soap?
Any suggestions on an additional ingredient?
Thanks.

how much olive are you using? how long has your bar cured? OO should make you a hard bar, you just need a good long cure.

hello,
i do use mostly olive oil and just a little coconut oil but i make it hot process.
maybe i will just still cure longer. sometimes just a little too creamy!

Hi,

I use palm oil and palm kernel oil with olive oil. Palm kernel is similar to coconut oil but will give extra glycerin to the soap.

Also, shea butter, cocoa butter, and mango butter will give you a harder bar if you don't mind spend a little bit more.

The longer you let the soap cure, the hard it will be. Most reading materials tell you to wait for 30 days but I cure mine for 3 months.

Good luck!

C
