    First body butter

Did you manage to fix the problem? I've seen recipes for whipped shea butter with aloe and that was said to help cut the greasy feel. But then you'd need a preservative.

    Gum Arabic as an emulsifier?

Thanks for the quick responses :) And thanks for further elaborating, DeeAnna. There's so much misinformation out there. It's dizzying! While I'm looking into hlb values, what other kind of emulsifier can be used with lecithin?

    Gum Arabic as an emulsifier?

Hi all :) I've been looking into different ingredients to use as an emulsifier for a lotion recipe. Lecithin and gum arabic/acacia seemed promising, but do any of you have experience using either of these in your lotions? I can't find much info on how they should be used. What other natural...

    A 'thin' rebatch?

Thanks for taking the time to explain these things to me :) And yes, I think I'm going to start with rebatching (is it obvious I've never done this before?) Now all I have to do is find the right base.

    A 'thin' rebatch?

Sorry for the late response~! Thanks for all the suggestions Sunny & Fragola :) I think I'm going to try both techniques together. But I'm a little concerned because I've read alcohol can have quite a drying effect on your skin :? Could it also possibly act as a preservative? What's a decent...

Best ingredients for acne prone skin

 That's the reaction I usually get. People can be pretty skeptical about it so none of my friends have tried it yet but personally, I've gotten great results from EVCO. Everyone is different though.

    A 'thin' rebatch?

Like one you can (more or less) pour into your mold without trying to smoosh it all in there and ending up with a wonky top. It always seems to have that gloppy consistency. Can anyone offer any methods of thinning it out?

Best ingredients for acne prone skin

Ugh, those teenage years  Aspirin works great~! However, it should be mixed with coconut or avocado oil instead of water. Exfoliating shouldn't be done too often though, so using this mixture once every two weeks or so is a good rule of thumb. And like Sunny mentioned, steaming the face...

Just a few questions about soap terms

I'm really eager to start making soap :D but a lot of soapmaking terms I've encountered don't make sense yet. When it comes to milling soap- like french or triple milled- what desired effects are achieved by doing this? Is milling the same as rebatching? Both of these sound allot like the...
