Yes, my bathroom sink gets sluggish. It runs better with hot water when this happens. I have a granulated drain cleaner I use when it starts to happen. It cleans it out in one usage. Heck, I should just use my lye!

How strong smelling are your leaves? I used some ground, this has been years ago, and it gave my soap a mild scent. I am not a patchouli fan so it was obvious to me. But my leaves were very strong smelling. So much so they scented everything they were stored with.

I have Bramble Berry's Pumkin Spice. It is my families favorite out of all my soaps. But I hate making it! It accelerates like crazy! I got soap on a stick. Next time I will not use a water discount and will hand stir in my fragrance with a whisk. Then I will pour ASAP!

I recently made a palm free soap for a friend. I used OO, CO, RBO, shea and something else, I can't remember. It turned out very well, a bit softer than my normal bar, so I will add some CB next time. Lots of great lather!

Can you smell that they are bad? You will definitely notice a different smell. Those dates are general and seem short for grapeseed oil. Hemp does go bad fast, but depending on if is refined or unrefined will effect it. Storage is also a big factor. Do the sniff test for the "off" scent...

You can add your coconut milk directly to the oils before adding in the lye water. :wink:

I use 5% castor oil to boost my bubbles. I tried sugar but did not have as much luck. I only used 1 tsp per pound though.

They sell sesame oil or soap making that is deodorized. I know many places carry it. MMS, Soaper's Choice. You don't want to use the cooking stuff, you cannot override that scent!
