    MICE! Grrr

I don’t know where you live, but getting rid of one mouse just invites another to take it’s place. I don’t like killing mice, so we try to make the place uninviting. They will come into the garage if it’s cold outside.if in the country a snake is a great idea. Where I live, outdoor cats get...

    Another first of 2021

Just a thought: I made cardboard dividers with relatively thin but stiff cardboard from a box. Then I covered it thoroughly around a few times with clear heavy mailing tape. Worked great and washable.

    What’s up with Brambleberry?

Does anyone know what is going on with Brambleberry? Their website shows all sections jumbled together in one list! And it looks like they are selling off their fragrance oils. No sign of oils for sale. Just project kits galore. Is this just end of year -clear the shelves? Have orders been so...

    Bubblegum Galaxy & Autumn Highlights

Bamboo racks make great curing racks! Inexpensive, light, easy to assemble, plenty of different configurations on Amazon. Easy to stack with a little glue or other connector. And light enough to hang on a wall.

    Stick blender vs whisk/spoon/spatula

Love the rim. Tucson is indeed hot. Yesterday made another batch. Soaped at patio temp 93F. This time I hand whisked the oils first to blend well, then added the lye. Worked great! Not much long stirring needed at all! Soap is fine!

    Stick blender vs whisk/spoon/spatula

Yesterday I made an 18 oz batch and decided to try just hand blending. Took about 15 minutes. Worked very well and I was able to get perfectly pouring batter. I think I agree that when a stick blender gets the oils moving there is a much longer time after stopping where blending continues. Also...

    Aleppo pepper?

Earlene, thank you!! I have a tad in olive oil. But if the reaction is 50% or so it would probably be a fool’s errand. Have a great day and many thanks.

    Any graphics people here?

Thanks for your reply! I’ve been retired for almost 15 years. I worked at a time when all the digital environments were new. Great to have your input here. It really helps folks. I used Page Maker, Quark, Corel, in the early days then Illustrator and Photoshop. It’s much better nowadays! Thanks...

    Any graphics people here?

Don’t be too frustrated if you have to do some testing, and your printer artist can help you match your swatch. It might take some tweaking. Look for a practical, less expensive option that will be easy to reproduce again somewhere else. That’s why so many small business logos are simple colors...

    Any graphics people here?

I’m back. Probably more than you ever wanted to know. If you go to your local traditional printer, he will do the art for you on his computer or you can supply it from your computer. If you do the art yourself, ask how he wants it presented to him-/RGB or CMYK. Most printers will want the art in...

    Any graphics people here?

Pantone colors are inks that professional printers can get. To my knowledge they are not available for home printers. But I can’t see any reason why they couldn’t be made for home printers! That would be wonderful, and I would be first in line!!!!!!

    First Milk Soap - Pimples?

Quick question: I’m planning on using powdered goat milk. Can it also be reconstituted in some of the water? Also, how much do you use per lb of soap?

    Any graphics people here?

After working in the fashion industry for some years, as well as In publishing, I know well color struggles. While each color on the computer has a color number, each program, each monitor, each computer, interprets it differently. Then God forbid, get color printers involved!!!!! Designers...
