    I use Titanium Dioxide in all my Vanilla and Vanilla blend soaps and they turn out white every time? Does this not work for anyone else?

    oooooooo I use OJ a lot in my citrus soaps and it stinks doesnt it? It turns out quite nice, doesnt discolour but I have never noticed any benefits in the final product, it just seems to work as a great selling tool LOL

    Oh PHEW! LOL. Yeah, it melts here too quickly in our heat so I put it in the freezer, plus it keeps it out the way.

    Why is Coconut Oil is a no no in the freezer? I keep mine in there and have for years and its fine? Granted it gets used within a week at the longest though. Im worried now LOL

    Great idea - I just flagged it too. They probably couldnt give a hoot but I couldnt just sit there and read it without getting angry. It just gives us soapmakers a bad rap.

    I would try it? I wouldnt sell it though as obviously you cant label it correctly but for my own use and for gifts for friends and family I would give it a try. Make a small batch based on Palm oil and see how you go? It cant hurt :)

    Yep, 2 minutes. Im in Aust so the temps might sound a bit wierd - I get them down to around 30-35 degrees celcius which is approx 95F I worked out? Any lower and they start to solidify. I use fresh goats milk (I own dairy goats LOL) as well. It takes a good 15-20 minutes b4 it is gelling...

    If you want a super easy cop out LOL just add Titanium Dioxide to your lye mix - 1 dessertspoon full (not flat but not heaped either if that makes sense LOL) normally does the trick. Thats for an approx 3kg batch. I have never had any problems with chalkiness with that amount. I prefer not...
