Maybe the fire department, maybe soap, either way it's a...

God'sCountryGirl, If I could make a suggestion. Buy a soapmaking book, any soapmaking book and read it from cover to cover. And never be afraid of Lye, it's not as scary as some make it out to be, just be smart and respectful of the chemicals you are dealing with and everything will work...

A skunk got in my basement!

It has to be the milk, I have used lavender tons with lovely smells. The betonite I use in my real life and other than a clayey smell has no odour. The crap ammonia smell will fade and you will have a lovely soap.

always wanted to be a hero. But I`ll settle for 1 or 2 pounders. Go big or go home....LJA.....hang your head in shame...okay...enough...you are done.....I think, 5 pounders for a test batch might be optimistic....what if you think they suck, and yes I try everything on myself first but just...

    Distilled water

I know there are going to be those who oppose my opinion, but I have used it all and found no difference. We have well water, high in iron, I've used Distilled, spring, christened, not really, and there has been no better or worse results from my soaping.
