Does anyone else get really messy making soap? Tonight after my batch I found a glob on my elbow. Plus my poor kitchen!!

Just a peek from tonight's project...

Made my third batch tonight and split it. The first half I used FO and mica for a strawberry champagne. Took the other half and added leathe FO and mica and got this beautiful hot mess. The bottom layer gelled and I had to scoop it in. The top layer well you see it. Lol

Have you ever taken a cake decorating class? I worked in a bakery for a while in college so I am fairly skilled at piping and fondanr. It makes a difference:)

Well I read everywhere how oils can speed up the trace process and yall were not kidding! It's a good lesson and I look forward to adding to my notes when I make another batch.

I can't add any advice but I can say if we were out of junk food to eat and I was desperate for sweets the soap would be the first to go.

I made my first purchase from mad oils. Ordered some mica and fragrance oil. :)

I am working my way up to that:) determined to take it slow and not get ahead of myself:)

Here she is. This was my first ever batch so it's just a plain olive oil. I experimented with mica for the first layer and sprinkle some on top. I am already planning my next soap, a strawberry champagne. :) Thank you for everyone's feedback.
