    White Film on MP Soap

Hello! I think this "film" you see there is caused by spraying a lot of alcohol. It will not go away until you start using the soap. Water will take off all of the filming I'm afraid, there is nothing to be done earlier than that.

    The volcano effect!!

Thank you all for your answers and sorry for my late answer. So it was my stupidity which caused all these. Of course I have added honey before, but not in the lye. It was the first time, and now I learned the hard way that I shouldn't. After the volcano, I wiped my marble bench...

    The volcano effect!!

This morning I had my first soap making disaster! I woke up and had this brilliant idea of making a cinnamon/clove/honey soap. I boiled some distilled water with cinnamon and cloves, I added some honey and let it cool. I prepared my lye and started pouring it into the liquid..... and then, oh...

    CP in the oven?

Hmmm I see... No, I'm too new in all these to try it. I will try to make some "perfect" batches first, using good old CP and maybe I'll try the oven some day. Thank you all, very interesting information :-P

    CP in the oven?

Someone told me that I can make CP soap which will be ready after 24 hours. She says that when I complete my recipe I have to put the soap in the oven in low temperature for 2 hours. Then wait for 24 hours and the next day my soap will be absolutely perfect without waiting 4-6 weeks. Is this...

    First batch

Thanks! I was afraid to use the juice, I thought it might explode  . So I used just the zest and added a few drops of citrus essential oil. It smells just like fresh lemon, maybe a little more than what I was expecting.

    Hi!

Thank you all for the warm welcoming. Today I made my first lavender soap. I think it came out as it was supposed to be (mixture and scent). The only thing that upsets me is the color. I put some drops of purple (I bought it from a crafts shop, a bottle labeled "soap color") and it turned into...
