    Best Tip for a Newbie

These are my personal - wish someone would have told me ideas Cover your workstation with wax paper, or my favorite a dollar store tablecloth, the clean up is super easy and fast. I have to use my kitchen because I don't have any other space to work with. This prevents lye water splashes, etc...

Your soaps are so pretty and displayed very professionally. I love the variations in colors and styles. Where did you get those little wood trays? Your lil goat is just adorable!

Color ideas for FO morphing yellow

This is a GREAT idea! The yellow can play on itself, and if the purple yellows it will blend in with the already yellow color. I might add some of that pretty teal on top. I didn't want to do black, just not my personality. Thank you!

Color ideas for FO morphing yellow

I never thought of letting the process just happen. I always have this goal in my mind of what I want, and when things don't go the way I want them to, I get frustrated. I need to just let that go and enjoy the process! Everyone else thinks things look great, I am my own worst critic. Thanks for...

I was able to get the salts off and it looks very pretty without! They left behind the mica and the little spots left behind where the salts were left these little depressions which are really neat looking. Thanks for the advice. I will just leave the salts to some other recipe :) One bar I...

Question for your embeds: Do you gel your soaps? I ask because: I would prefer to "keep it real" and use ingredients that are made from soap if possible so the molds are enabling but will be my next buy in a few weeks! do those little balls melt? I worry that they will melt, or the MP will melt...

These are cold process. I have some melt and pour but I live in the PNW and I am afraid of it sweating too much.

I work full time, but I have been banned from buying anything more for awhile. It was my Christmas present- base supplies to myself. My husband snowmobiles and I take care of the kids, him and my patients, so this is "me" time. :) even if that does mean giving things away to others- just who I...

Ohh thank you! My very first! Coming from you I am blushing :) Thanks for the advice about the salts. Yes they are the medium coarse, sprayed with alcohol and covered in mica- I will let my friends know when I gift them. If they don't fall off by then- as they are curing and I turn them they...

Hi everyone! I am a crafter and I have always wanted to make my own bath/body products. I don't plan on doing this as a business- I am a nurse and mom already- just more for fun and to give as gifts, friends, family. I have made 5 loaves, 3 in the standard soap queen recipes and 2 I tweaked to...

    Your first soap

Hello all! My first soap was this month. I usually order from my source from Etsy, and will continue to do so because she is so amazing, but I wanted to create something because she inspired me. It's the standard 30/30/20 bar I think is how it is represented? I am new here so not sure :)...
