I am just curious what everyone has used to harden their bars of soap with other than an immense amount of coconut oil. is there some sort of natural extract or herb that acts as a bar hardener? I am looking to get a little more life out of my bars and get a hard bar. Thanks for all and suggestions.

What was your process to getting them to come out so great in the Silicon Molds? I have tried Molds but every time I end up with bubbles covering the outside of the bars :?

I would like to see the certified organic certificate by the USDA. Also in terms of price as of right now you can usually find certified organic carrier oils as you can regular oils or at least I have seen.

I am making an all olive oil bar right now and I used this recipe: water 8.5 ounces lye 3.05 ounces olive oil 23.5 ounces Then my batch of soap didn't set up all the way. Soaponification had occurred though because the batch is a creamy white color. But around the edges...

HMMMM....thanks for the responses. These are actual little air pockets. I didn't put any type of oil or grease in the molds before hand. This time there was no ash so it is a step in the right direction.
