I can't remember how much salt I used off the top of my head. It was a regular soap recipe with salt added. I would say I used about 3 cups of salt for 6 lbs of oils. I'm hoping mine are on the 'cure out nicely' end of things. I was away this weekend and haven't checked on them yet.
OMG!!! So I'm not the only one?! That is my favorite part too! I will milk the process of cutting as long as I can. It's somehow therapeutic to me. :crazy:
I recently made a batch of soap with sea salt added at trace. When I went to unmold the soap logs the soap was wet. It wasn't oily and the soap set up just fine. I cut them up and threw them on the curing rack hoping for the best. When I checked them the next day they were dry. Am I missing...
