Hello. Figured I'd introduce myself. Decided to try my hand at making my own soap in an effort to reduce the number of chemicals in my home.

If anyone has any pointers to additional information to make good products for people of color, that would be greatly appreciated!

I've also been looking for info on using plantain ash (as in black african soap) as opposed to lye for cp soap.

Being new at this, its hard to determine if the info that I find online is reputable/accurate, so pointers are appreciated!

When formulating a soap recipe skin type seems important to me, not color :wink:

I started making soap for the very same reason
