is there anyone on here who has a good tutorial of how they do the beautiful textured tops..that look like cake icing?????

no tutorial, but all it takes is heavy trace and a spoon - just move it around till it looks like you like it.

i tend to pour at light to medium trace then muck about with it as it thickens up to the point where it can hold its shape. if I pour at thick trace I end up with air spaces in my soap that pisses me off - but not everyone seems to have that issue.

Yep. I pour at emulsion, very light trace. Then I start cleanup and come back to finish tops when the 'batter' has begun to thicken.

Here's a good video. I do what Deda and CB does... Pour it and wait for it to firm up.

thank you for that link agriffin! I tried to do this before but it was a total flop...I really needed to SEE how it was done. Gave it another shot today and it went much better. I'm even going to try the fishing line when I cut it tomorrow.

Thanks!! (and thanks to beacon too) :)
