Coconut oil seems to be the mainstay of most soap recipes, and rightly so, with all its bubbly sudsing action! I was just wondering whether anyone regularly makes soap without it? e.g. palm and olive oil only?

I know such a soap may not have lots of large bubbles, but would it have its uses?

Only asking as I'm out of CO and have plenty of PO and OO and a few other oils like avocado, hemp and almond.

Sure. Castile soap is 100% OO. Better if you cure for a looong time.

I made my last batch of face soap with OO and avocado. No lather to speak of, but it feels very gentle.

Sure.
I have recipes with no CO.
Use castor oil for bubbles or if you don't have any of that on hand try using some sugar.
:)
