how do you make saltwater soap? I'm thinking of a soap to sell to boaters!

Do you mean A salt bar?

The first salt bat I made was 100% CO with 75% the weight if oils salt.
You can also google it and get a ton of different recipes

Remember to cut quick when making salt soap

Depends on the content of the saltwater. I've heard of people doing it. It can turn out a successful bar with no problems, a fishy bar, or a weeping bar. Depends on the mineral content and the other critters living in the water.

I make soap with sea water sometimes. Don't worry about critters - seriously nothing will survive the lye. I do put it through a coffee filter twice, and always store in the fridge.

I don't think it's any different from soap made with water, but I live near the shore so there is a certain cachet to it.
