What do you all use for colorant in peppermint soap? I would really love to get a bright red color to swirl with.
Thanks!

I have heard great things about Peacock colors but was waiting for someone else to try them

I would also really like to buy a dark christmas green colorant of some sort for coloring cedar soap. Does anyone know of good dark green for cold procces? I still have not found a good red either  Any suggestions would be greatly appriciated!

jadie bugs,

my oxides always turn out marron not red. which one do you use to get a nice red?

Kathy

I get a nice red with TKB's Red Oxide (Red Tone)...not (Blue Tone). I've heard that Red Oxide stains, but I've only used it in swirls without any staining trouble.

What does TKB stand for?? Is it a website?? Do oxides color well in CP soap? Are oxides something we buy off a website???

I used Peaks red oxide in a batch today. So far it looks like a nice color for my Macintosh apple fo.

It's a website. www.tkbtrading.com

I like oxides and micas for color. TKB sells both. Just check the "details" to be sure they are stable and non-bleeding.
