Questions on 1st batch of HP

Hi everyone! Very excited today since I'm attempting my 1st batch of HP.

This is my recipe:


Superfatting with sunflower & vitamin e 80/20 ratio.

This will be a rosemary soap. I've infused the OO and made a tea for the lye water. I'll be adding a tsp. of ground rosemary. The rosemary comes from my school's organic garden!

I work with my CP at room temp, so this is a totally new experience for me. How cool do I need to have the soap before I add my EO and can put it in the mold? When is the point of no return, as far as putting it the mold?

Hmm.......I think most of my EOs have come with a sheet of paper that gives specifics like the flashpoint. It should be good once it is cooled down to 180F. But that is just my opinion.

I've never measured the temperature. I reach saponification, take it off the heat, give it a good stir, then pour in the EO and stir it in.
