Due to little unexpected turns, the soap I started to make Monday isn't made.
The oils have been sitting a good quality stainless steel pot....waiting.

Question is: will this cause my soap to be more prone to dos because of the metal exposure?

I want to say it should be fine since stainless steel doesn't seem to react to anything , but I really have no experience with this.

If it's only been sitting since Monday, I don't think you should have any problems with DOS unless there are other factors also contributing (such as old oils, etc.,)

The longest I've left a bunch of mixed oils in a stainless container is about a month I think.

No DOS (multiple batches of soaps).

Good quality stainless is excellent for all things soaping IMHO, as it tolerates alkaline solutions exceptionally well.

Thanks everyone - I went ahead and made the soap. The oils were bought fresh just a couple weeks before, I used a low sf and sodium citrate so those as positives as well.
