Ok the above looks a little crooked but all the numbers are there..... If I am doing goats milk (evaporated) split method, I would use 63.05 grams of both water and lye and then add the additional 95.70 grams of goats milk to equal my full liquid amount, right? I am trying to triple check as this will be my first GM batch.
Thanks for any feedback!

eta: or would I take the full liquid amount of 158.757 grams and divide it by 2 to get 79.38 grams for lye water and 79.38 grams GM?

Mindyw86, why don't you just list your ingredients including lye, water and milk, with the amount you used next to each. That would make it easier to read. I can't make out the weights with all the other numbers.

I agree, your post is a little confusing, but from what I can make out your fats and oils look just fine and should make a good soap. As far as adding the milk, I always just use twice as much liquid as lye. So what i do is add one half liquid (your water) to mix with the lye then add the other half (your milk) after you reach a thin trace. I think that's what you are asking?

Phew, I thought it was just me going "huh". Yes list your ingredients used and mount.

Goat milk xxoz
water xxoz
ect

Sorry, it was late and I was tired. Lol

Ok....
Castor oil 22.68 g
Coconut oil 113.40g
Olive oil. 158.76g
Palm oil. 113.40g
Shea butter. 45.36g

Lye. 63.05 g
Water 158.76g

If using the canned milk do I just divide 158.76 by 2 and use half (which is 79.40) water for the lye and then the other 79.40 g of the milk? Or do I just use equal amounts water and lye and then put all the rest in milk? I hope that makes more sense :)

You could do that (158.76/2) if you want. Or you can use the 63.05 grams water and the rest milk. Never go below a 1:1 ratio lye to water. Really you can do whatever you want as long as you don't go below that 1:1 ratio. Frankly I like to freeze the milk and just use 100% milk but to each their own. Good luck!
