We had our first weenie roast of the season yesterday and it was a diaster! We absolutely could not get the fire going. While I was outside fiddling with the fire I forgot about the baked beans. They were black on top and very dry so I told my son to throw them out. Instead he took them outside and fed the entire pan to our Chow Chow. I walk into the kitchen to start cooking the hotdogs on the stove and see our AmerStaff eating the hotdogs off the kitchen table :shock:. He's never taken anything off the table before! And as you can probably guess the Chow was in digestional distress all night, no one wanted him sitting near them.
We got off to a rocky start but I am so excited that it is finally Spring and look forward to Summer, complete with its sunburns and mosquito bites.
