Farm sink and soaping

i just got a porcelain farm sink an want to know if my cold process soap making with the lye damage the sink? Does anyone have experience with this?

I wouldn't think so. Commercial drain cleaners use lye so unless the sink's surface is exposed to lye for a long period time, I don't think it would cause any damage.
