Made a milk, lavender & honey soap a few days ago, here is what it looked like before gelling.

No zap tonight, does this mean it went through a HP?[/img]

no, it is just finished saponifying and now it needs to cure for approx 4 weeks. it is safe to use though once it no longer zaps, it just isnt as good a result as it will be 4 weeks from now. :)

Thanks Krissy, will try HP next time as it sounds like alot of fun & instant gratification!!

HP is a lot of fun and the instant gratification is nice. it is a whole other monster with issues all it's own though, so do your research and dont expect your first batch to be to pretty

my first batch looked like petrified mash potatoes

HP soap is safe to use when it's done cooking, but I prefer to let it cure still for at least 3-4 weeks. The soap will get harder, more water will evaporate and it will last longer in the shower.

I have a nizzy mold too but I find it hard to unmold, I see you don't use lining with it, do you have any problems unmolding?
