I do this too...and still manage to make a mess

I use a stainless steel measuring spoon or a tiny glass measuring cup (about the size of a shot glass) and put the bottle right against it, so any dribbles end up in the spoon or glass. Otherwise...yes, I'd make a mess. I don't much mind if there's some spillage from my castor oil, but I hate to waste a drop of those expensive EOs.
