Buying colors for CP soap

I am looking to order some colors from WSP. I like Brambleberry and can find colors I like, but I can't handle paying that much for shipping so I'm ordering through WSP. Anyway, I have only bought one color before (a bronze mica) so I have no idea what I need to look for. I just want regular colors like blue and yellow. Do I get liquid, powder, or what?

Also I want my soap to look white sometimes. I have been just leaving it natural color but the olive oil is yellowish and I want a bright white. Do I just buy white pigment for that?

Im not familiar with your supplier, but I do use a lot of colour.

I love oxides for nice strong colours, ultramarines are good for pretty colours. And I have a liquid dye that is excellent and easy to use but im not sure what that is equivalent too over there.

Titanium Dioxide will whiten your soap. Some people dont like it, but I wouldnt be without it.
You can also use it to give your stronger dyes a pastel shade.
It comes in water and oil disp. I use water, as you can ad this too the lye to whiten the whole soap

I like the powdered pigments, micas, and ultramarines... but they take some practice. A little goes a long way. I'd look for a sampler pack so you can try some small batches and see what you like.

For white soap you need to be careful not to use TOO much TD... it can make the soap chalky. But a little is fine. There are plenty of threads here on getting a white bar. In general it's a combination of using light/white oils (palm, CO, babassu, lard), soaping cool and/or preventing gel, and using perhaps a small amount of TD.

The only colorants I've used from WSP are the ultramarines. They work well and render a strong, well-balanced color for me.
