Hello everyone, I am new to the forum and actually have not belonged to one before not sure why! I make soap for my business and as a hobby, I love doing it and I use more than I sell. I am hoping I learn a lot and can share my experience in this sometimes weird but fab world of soap making!

yes I am UK based, I find making soap here stiffles my creativity (cake related soaps I love but cannot make!)

Because the trading standards? What does your safety assessor have to say about it, as I wondered what the actual view was?

Strange mine wont certify at all, I have made a solid black base with gold whipping on the top and it still looks like food. My mother in law lives in Skegness and hers is very different, he has said that as long as it is not food fragranced, and not in a cupcake case and pod it is fine so there is definitely some differing views. Yet some of the biggest cosmetic companies still make them in food fragrances, I would love to know how they get around it!:grin::grin:
