I assume it is. Is it a good replacement for olive oil or would rice bran oil be better?

What is a good blueberry FO?

Who has a good recommendation for a nice one? It doesn't have to be super sweet over the top in your face. I'd like it to be an "adult" level of fruitiness.

    percentages of base/mid/top notes

Is there any kind of a general rule of thumb to what percentages one should use? Like 50% top, 30% base 20% mid. I'm guessing it would depend on the types of oils used. I'll say I'm doing a woodsy, citrus, hoppy beer soap w/ myrrh, frank, cedarwood base, grapefruit top, and maybe juniper...

Has anyone ever seen or tried to do it? The soapcalc numbers put it not far off from castile. The palm has less iodine and gets harder. Just curious.

    scent questions/ideas

I'm thinking of a soap with high lard content and sheep tallow. Maybe even clarified butter (ghee), cows milk and goats milk. I have the idea that it would be a country / farm / down home / grandmas homemade soap that she kept in the kitchen. My question is; what kind of scent would be...

    old soap in new batch

my original rose scented bars just didn't smell enough. i figured I'd cut it into small cubes and use it as imbeds in a new batch. my questions are: will there be any issues with cutting the new batch? like will the old soap soften up to match the new batch? or will i be cutting hard old soap...
