Hello fello soap makers and all around crafters! I need some help and I need it bad. I just started working with liquid castile soap to make shower gel. And to put it midly, it aint workin. It turns out more like foam rather than gel. Does anyone out there know why?

Liquid soap

I could help you out if I knew what recipe you use. A additive or fragrance or essential oil could do it. Is the lye bad? It will be like a thick concentrated goo when you cook it until you add water to make your soap for use. You can add vegetable glycerin to it. I use mine in a foam pump anyways, customers love it.

Welcome to the forum. I pretty much do cp/op but maybe this summer I'll try some hp and then cream or liquid soap.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!

Ok, I'm using dr. bronners liquid soap and distilled water. Thats it.

While I'm not new to soap making I am new at attempting to make them "all natural". Thanks in advance and l look forward to helping some of you if I can!
