Troubleshooting TD in HP

I add TD to my TD batch today and it created ricing. I premixed it with water (it's water soluable) and I added it after the cook. Should I have added it at the beginning at light trace? Has this happened to anyone else?

Ive never had ricing in HP. Did you use hot water?
Ive had better luck mixing colors after the cook when I mix them with hot sugar water. For white though, i use Non Nano zinc oxide mixed in oil.
