Hi soapers,
do you know if soap is less drying to the skin after a full curing cycle compared to a soap that only is a few days old.

I am asking because due to time constraints I tested some of my samples relatively fresh and they all seem quite drying. But I am not sure if it's because of the new recipes I tried or because of the lack of curing time.
Any first hand experience on that one? I made the soaps in CP.
Thanks a lot!!

Let it do it's thing. It's way better after curing. I cure mine for a minimum of 4 weeks. That's when I might think about using/selling them. Most of my soaps cure for about 2 months or longer, depending on the soap. For instance, salt bars are better the longer they cure... a year or more.

I wouldn't even think of using a soap that was only days old.

Yes, soap does get less drying/milder with a proper cure. Soap only a few days old would destroy my skin.

Thanks for your input. I have read a lot that the soap gets milder with curing but I was not sure what exactly that means...
