Soap color different in center ??

I cut a piece of soap in half to try. Its 3 weeks into curing. It looks like a peanut butter cup. Is this normal or did something maybe go wrong? Here's a picture of what I'm talking about.

It could be from the heat from gelling. My soaps do that at times.

Looks like partial gel to me.

Did you scent it with an FO that has vanilla in it? It doesn't look like partial gel to me, but that the vanilla in the scent is making it go dark. Eventually the whole bar will end up dark if that's what it is.

Yep, I'm with JCandle. It looks like you used a discoloring FO. IT will start to darken on the outside and slowly work its way in through the bar. Takes a while to discolor the bar all the way through. It's nothing to worry about at all (unless you weren't planning a brown bar, then it seems disappointing but browning scents can be excellent!)

Its got black raspberry vanilla in it and a cappuccino brulee scent fo in it.

Yep - that's all it is. The fo is darkening the soap from the outside (where there's air) to the inside. It may take months for the discoloration to reach all the way through - but once all the edges are exposed to air, they will all turn the same brown. It's not a bad thing

Yep it's vanilla darkening. Usually with partial gel, the inside of the circle is darker than the outside.
