Preserving hydrosols?

I got some hydrosols for lotion making and made a really nice lotion for my sister in law, I definitely want to keep using them! But I was reading over Swift/Susan's blog and it talks about needed to preserve the hydrosol - I can't tell if I need to add some or not!

I keep mine in the refrigerator, and they
keep nicely for quite awhile.

Can't see a preservative listed. I preserve mine with liquid germall plus.

I'd done some reading up on making these at home myself and without preservative they were saying they can keep in the fridge for up to a year. I decided I had too much on my plate and put my study on them on hold but for me it would depend on if it was for personal use or product use. Just for me, I'd not add a preservative. For others use, I would add one.
