Does pearl powder lightens the colors??

I would think the pearl powder is what she used to make the lighter swirl.

I bought some pearl powder a while ago (one of those soaping whims!), and have never gotten around to using it ..... Does it actually lighten the soap color? And how much would you need to add to do this?

I have a face cleanser that has pearl powder in it that is a very gentle exfoliator. Not sure if it will lighten your soap but keep in mind that it will give your soap some exfoliating texture so go lightly with it.

Just visited the site. Her soap looks very similar to soap I just made!
