So, here's the soap after a couple of weeks cure. Not very Ombre, but it's soap.
@penelopejane - Surprisingly, it's not scratchy at all, so I'm pleased about that. Not oily, either! Thanks, everyone, for the tips and the encouragement!
 
Glad it worked out. Time makes a big difference with soap.
Also, I don’t know that glycerine added to additives is the miracle fix. If you use a lot of it - say 1.5 tsp ppo - I think it might lead to soft soap. I’m still testing this. Others might have an opinion.
 
Great advice from Penelopejane. I find that unless I infuse the turmeric, it is grainy, and the soap is too scratchy for me.
