New and not sure where to begin

I want to learn to make my own soap but do not know where to begin. I came to this site and have been reading all about everyone else's soaps but not how they got directions or where to begin! Can someone plz help me out?? Thanks.

Welcome to the forum.
A great place to start is your public library. You should be able to find books on the different types of soaps, what you'll need to get started and the directions to follow to make the soap.

A book that I love is Smart Soapmaking by Anne L. Watson.

I started with M&P which lasted for about 2 days, then I was researching CP. There are several good books on soapmaking & a google search will get you started right away doing some research. Here are a couple of sites:
